100 days old

I turned 100 days old today, so I ate the traditional Japanese meal for babies when they turn 100 days old. (I didn’t really eat it, but it is the thought that counts.) It is supposed to bring me good health, good luck, and happiness. I’m not sure how red rice and a fried fish are supposed to do that, but who am I to argue with tradition. Mommy didn’t seem to mind eating the food in my stead. Maybe that is why the started the tradition in the first place, so Mommy’s could have a nice meal. We’ll never know. I’ll try and get more details from Mommy about this days importance. First I have to wait until she’s finished eating.

In my old age I decided to spend my day doing nothing. Well, not exactly “nothing”. I slept the majority of the day. I ate food that didn’t require chewing. I had my diapers changed. I made strange smells. I was talking a lot but not making much sense. Hmm, being 100 days old is not that different than being 100 years old. Except maybe the fact that I have creases and not wrinkles. Also, I am still very limber.
